Shelley Hamlett

Occupational Therapist

Shelley earned her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from The University of California, San Diego in 2010. She then received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2015. Prior to joining Northwest Center in 2022, Shelley worked in pediatric hospital settings, outpatient pediatric clinics, and in Early Supports services. Some of her special interests and trainings include feeding medically fragile infants and toddlers, tube feeding, lactation counseling, sensory processing, and supporting infant and toddler motor development. Shelley has always enjoyed working with infants and toddlers and building connection with families. She believes strongly in a family/child-centered and strengths-based approach to supporting each child and family.

 

Originally from Southern California, Shelley moved to Seattle in 2020. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, concerts, arts/crafts projects, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
