Melinda graduated from Western Washington University, earning bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Social Services and a minor in Psychology. As a part of her studies at WWU, she participated in early childhood education and child development classes. After graduation, she followed her passion and decided to take a chance with an up-and-coming law firm, Barraza Law. There she was given the opportunity to use her bilingual skills to assist clients in all aspects of the law firm’s practice. Melinda worked directly with clients to translate legal documentation, attend appointments, facilitate communication, and guide them through various application processes. Her positive experience with the law firm further deepened her passion to provide and empower families with the knowledge of their rights and available resources.
Melinda jumped at the chance to work with Northwest Center Kids Early Supports, where she now works directly with families to advocate for Early Support services.
