Kirsten grew up just 25 miles north of Seattle and attended the University of Washington in which she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in June of 2019. Later that year, she traveled to Brighton, England where she would eventually earn a Master’s degree in Childhood and Youth Studies from the University of Sussex. Her passion for working with kids and youth started in 2018 with a simple YMCA summer camp and has since spread across multiple job fields, much of which has included outdoor education environments and early learning. She has also spent time working as a Care Coordinator for folks of all ages in Snohomish County where she assisted individuals in accessing resources and support for their physical and mental health needs. Kirsten has continuously been drawn to supporting the needs of others which brought her to Northwest Center in the summer of 2022 where she began work as a Family Resources Coordinator. Outside of role, Kirsten enjoys backpacking, running, traveling with her partner, and spending time with her family’s dachshunds
