Kayla joined Northwest Center as a speech-language pathologist before being named Vice President of Northwest Center Kids in 2023. Previously, Kayla was a speech-language pathologist at the Hearing, Speech and Deafness Center (HSDC) in Seattle and the River School in Washington, D.C. As Preschool program lead at HSDC, she pioneered a first-of-its-kind curriculum for an early childhood classroom aimed at integrating specialized instruction for communication delays and disorders in a classroom environment.
Kayla has a BA in Psychology and a BS in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington, as well as a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Gallaudet University. She is fluent in American Sign Language.
