Our Programs

From birth through retirement, Northwest Center serves people of all abilities in a multitude of ways. Northwest Center Kids manages our programs for children while Northwest Center Employment Services provides services to adults.

Northwest Center Kids changes the course of children’s lives. Working in partnership with families to provide support and enhance the development of children with developmental delays. The Early Intervention Program offers a customized approach to each child’s speech, feeding and special education needs. The Inclusive Early Learning Program provides full-day childcare for children from infancy to kindergarten. Children of all abilities learn, play and grow together in a completely inclusive setting where everyone benefits.

Northwest Center Teens offers a full-time summer and after-school program aimed at meeting the needs of working families with teenagers. The program is inclusive and accepts teens of all abilities. Additional support is provided for teens with developmental conditions that may require physical, emotional and social support throughout the day.
We offer a safe, structured and well-supported, thriving environment with a 1:4 staff to youth ratio. A team of well qualified staff with diverse backgrounds and skill sets including disabilities, behavioral and education backgrounds will be present at all times.

Northwest Center Employment Services provides career development services to adults with developmental conditions, specifically those with significant cognitive disabilities. The process includes a customized employment plan based on the interests and skills of each individual. We combine the process with specialized training to assist people in achieving their employment goals. People with disabilities face myths and prejudices about the employment capabilities; we work with the employee and employer to address these concerns and promote mutually beneficial long-term job placements within the community.
