The Northwest Center Child Development Program offers a succession of inclusive classroom experiences and programs for children from infancy through 12 years of age.
Infants—6 weeks to 12 months
A warm, nurturing environment where teachers support each baby’s
development at his or her individual pace and schedule.
Waddlers—12 to 20 months
A transitional program that allows infants to master walking and adapt
to a larger social group.
Toddlers—20 months to 2½ years
Children are supported in experimenting with and practicing their new social,
language and motor skills in a stimulating and safe environment.
Young Preschool—2½ to 3½ years
Stresses the importance of independence through choices and self-guided
learning to meet developmental language and cognitive milestones.
Pre-Kindergarten—3 to 5 years
Children are exposed to pre-academics and early literacy through hands-on
learning that also strengthens social and problem solving skills.
School Age Program—Kindergarten through 12
years
Takes place before and after school, and when elementary schools are not
in session. A collaborative program that strengthens skills taught in
school programs, as well as homework help and enrichment activities.
Summer Camp—Kindergarten through 12 years
A recreational program that includes community field trips, arts and crafts,
and other enrichment activities. Individual goals support children's
growth between school years.
